Texas A&M has been racking up weekly SEC honors across multiple sports and Golf is no exception. With Sam Bennett making some big waves at the Masters, it put a few eyes on the Texas A&M program. Phichaksn Maichon picked a nice week to show he had the goods to earn the honor of Golfer of the Week by the SEC.
Maichon took first place at the Bearkat Invitational where he finished 11-under 205 after three rounds. His five under 67 was good enough for him to beat the runner-up by three strokes.
As I mentioned, SEC honors are a regular thing with the Aggies this year and Maichon added his name to the list that includes Sam Bennett and Daniel Rodrigues as SEC Golfer of the Week recipients.
His next chance to compete for the honor again will be at the Aggie Invitational at Traditions Club.
