SEC media days set to be held in Dallas in 2024

The SEC’s football media days will be in the Lone Star State next year, commissioner Greg Sankey announced on Monday.

The SEC media days are being held in Nashville this week, and next year, they will once again be in a brand new location.

On Monday afternoon, SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey announced that the 2024 SEC media days will be held in Dallas at the Omni Hotel in downtown Dallas.

Next year’s SEC media days will also be the first for both Texas and Oklahoma as conference members. Both programs will leave the Big 12 for the SEC on July 1, 2024.

Before being in Nashville this season, the SEC media days were held in Atlanta, Georgia, at the College Football Hall of Fame and Omni Hotel and in Birmingham, Alabama, at the Wynfrey Hotel.

The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex is also home to the Big 12’s media days. The Big 12 held its’ annual media days last week at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

This week’s SEC media days will be held Monday through Thursday, featuring three to four programs a day at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in downtown Nashville.

This fall, the SEC will look for one of its 14 member institutions to win the College Football Playoffs for the fifth straight season. LSU, Alabama, and Georgia have combined to win the last four, with the Bulldogs winning each of the previous two. The last non-SEC team to win it all was Clemson in 2018.
