Folks, I don’t consider myself a college football purist.
The transfer portal? NIL? Conference realignment? An eight-plus team playoff? I’m down with it. I can handle change.
But with God as my witness, this I cannot stomach.
On Thursday, the Big Ten reached a new distribution agreement with a number of broadcasters. While Fox will remain the league’s primary broadcaster, the major news here for SEC fans is the fact that CBS will begin broadcasting Big Ten games in the 3:30 slot that has been reserved for the SEC game of the week beginning in 2024.
That resulted in this abomination.
