The upcoming college baseball season will be the last to feature the SEC Tournament as we know it today.
SEC athletic directors approved a new format for the 2024-25 athletic year in anticipation of Oklahoma and Texas joining the conference. The new format will see all 16 SEC teams play in a single-elimination tournament over six days.
The four programs that finish on top of the conference will receive a double-bye and the Nos. 5-8 programs will get a one-day bye. Seeds 9 through 16, as determined by the final regular season standings, will play on Tuesday.
