Last weekend was probably the wildest for SEC baseball so far this season. We had a few surprises as well as some teams flexing their muscles.
As far as surprises go, how about Georgia sweeping Arkansas and Tennessee sweeping Vanderbilt? UGA has flipped the script of their whole season lately as they took a series against Kentucky a couple of weeks ago and now have swept a good Razorbacks team.
The Volunteers looked to have their back against the wall after getting swept by the Hogs and then losing their midweek game to Tennessee Tech. They came out swinging against the Commodores, though, as they outscored Vandy 31-9 in three games.
LSU flexed its muscles as it got its first conference sweep of the season, and South Carolina proved it is nearly unbeatable at home as it swept the Florida Gators.
Here’s how everything stands in our power ranking of league teams after Week 6.
