SEC announces schedule changes for 2020 football season

The Southeastern Conference will play a 10-game, conference-only schedule for the 2020 college football season

It won’t look like it usually does, but the SEC is still planning to play a college football season in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

It’ll be a 10-game, conference-only slate, the conference announced Thursday:

This arrangement unfortunately cancels key inter-conference rivalry games such as Florida vs. Florida State and Clemson vs. South Carolina, but preserves the bulk of the season for its member schools.

The start for the season as also been pushed back to September 26th, with some game dates being rearranged to fit the new timeline, as well.
