Sean McVay: Rams’ play vs. Ravens no indication of how they will play vs. Cardinals

“We feel confident that that’s not a representation of what our football team is capable of and what we’ll hopefully put on tape in the next couple weeks.”

The Los Angeles Rams are coming off an embarrassing 45-6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Monday night. They allowed the Ravens to score touchdowns on their first six possessions and did not find the end zone themselves.

They are 6-5, a far cry from the 13-3 or 14-2 expectations that many had for them entering the season after making the Super Bowl.

So can the Cardinals expect to play a Rams team that performed the way it did against the Ravens?

Rams coach Sean McVay says no.

“What happened in that game is not going to be an indication of what we have an opportunity to do against the Cardinals,” McVay told reporters Tuesday. “That’s really, that’s the truth. You just look at the week-to-week things that occur in this league. As long as you have the ability and a positive way of moving forward and not letting that deter your ability to move forward and get those things fixed. We feel confident that that’s not a representation of what our football team is capable of and what we’ll hopefully put on tape in the next couple weeks.”

The Ravens embarrassed the Rams. They are also one of the league’s best and hottest teams right now, a team many feel will make it to the Super Bowl. The Cardinals are 3-7-1 and have one of the league’s worst defenses.

The Cardinals certainly are capable of winning but fans should not expect the Rams to come in and play like they did on Monday night.

They are a team that knows how to win and will most certainly come with a lot of fight and a chip on their shoulder.

If they play better and the Cardinals do what they have been doing, it should be an extremely entertaining game to watch.
