Seahawks WR DK Metcalf now out of walking boot following foot surgery

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf is now on the mend and out of his walking boot following his foot surgery this offseason.

The Seattle Seahawks are busy putting together their roster for the 2022 season and the health of their star players is a major concern. One starter who has been rehabbing this offseason is wide receiver DK Metcalf, who is recovering from a foot surgery to correct an earlier procedure.

Metcalf is now out of his walking boot and on the mend.

“Yeah, he is and he has started his running as well,” Carroll told reporters on Saturday after the draft. “Like those two guys (Quandre Diggs and Jamal Adams) he is in a total rehab mode right now and gets get through that and out of that.

Both Adams (shoulder) and Diggs (leg) are also in recovery mode and hopefully could be ready by the start of the season.

“Jamal’s probably the furthest along as I understand it, but all the guys, it’s all working and they need to get that focus nailed before we get back to the full speed football,” Carroll continued. ‘They’re in on all of the meetings and all that kind of stuff.”

The Seahawks move from Phase One of the offseason program to Phase Two this week but no live contact or offense vs. defense drills are permitted yet.

Carroll should have a more solid idea of the health of the team when the players report to the mandatory minicamp in mid-June.
