Seahawks reportedly request to interview Texans OC Bobby Slowik

Houston Texans offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik has become one of the most popular head coaching candidates this offseason.

Houston Texans offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik is a popular man this offseason.

Not only did he orchestrate the Texans’ dismantling of the Cleveland Browns in the wild card, but he’s been requested to interview for several NFL head coaching jobs. This past week alone, four different teams reached out to the Texans about Slowik: the Carolina Panthers, the Tennessee Titans, the Washington Commanders and the Atlanta Falcons.

Now, the Seattle Seahawks have joined the mix after they parted ways with Pete Carroll earlier this offseason, according to ESPN’s Dan Graziano.

Slowik can do virtual interviews ahead of the Texans’ divisional round match with the Baltimore Ravens but will have to wait for in-person interviews until next week.

Whether or not he even takes the interviews is entirely up to him, but the Texans cannot reject the requests since all four would be considered promotions from his offensive coordinator title.
