There’s an eternity between now and the 2023 NFL draft, including a full season to play for the Seattle Seahawks. That said, it’s never too early to start thinking about next year’s draft – especially when you need a quarterback. In a new two-round 2023 mock draft from Luke Easterling at Draft Wire has them picking a new potential franchise QB in the first round.
With the No. 3 overall pick in the mock, Seattle selected Alabama quarterback Bryce Young.
“The Seahawks don’t have a starting-caliber quarterback on their roster after trading away Russell Wilson, and finding one will be their top priority next offseason. Young might be undersized, but he’s still got all the mental and physical traits to be a franchise passer.”
Young (six-foot, 194 pounds) became Nick Saban’s starter last season and put up some video game numbers, posting 47 touchdowns, seven interceptions, 10 yards per pass attempt and a 167.5 rating. Young won the Heisman for his trouble. Here’s the highlight reel.
