The Seattle Seahawks received some good news Friday morning when coach Pete Carroll confirmed running back Chris Carson could be ready to play in the Week-4 contest in Miami. The bad news, however, is that both linebacker Jordyn Brooks and safety Jamal Adams will be sitting this matchup out.
Brooks (knee) and Adams (groin) both sustained their injuries last week against the Cowboys. Neither has recovered in time to take the field against the Dolphins.
“Jordyn’s really stiff. He’s not gonna make it this weekend,” Carroll told KIRO’s Dori Monson Friday morning. “(His knee) not too bad but it just wound up being really stiff.
Carroll provided an update on Adams as well, who also left last week’s game early.
“Jamal is not ready yet,” Carroll said. “He won’t make it. We’ll miss the heck out of him.”
The Seahawks are set to square off in Miami on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 10:00 a.m. PT.
