Seahawks FS Quandre Diggs connected with 15 teams in free agency

Seahawks safety Quandre Diggs said he and his camp connected with 15 interested teams in free agency before re-signing with Seattle.

Seahawks safety Quandre Diggs was one of Seattle’s most intriguing free agents and the first to secure his new deal with the team.

Diggs addressed the media on Wednesday and told reporters just how truly sought-after he really was.

“I found that I was very highly thought of from other teams and we had a lot of interest, it was maybe like 15 teams we connected with,” Diggs said via Zoom. “The whole thing for me was always about being comfortable and not having to move my family around the country, and just being somewhere where the coaches trust me, the people in the building know me, the coaches trust me.

“I just think every time we came back to it, Seattle was the best place for us to be.”

His new contract ensures that Diggs and his family will remain in the Emerald City for at least the next three years at nearly $40 million.

“Like I told you guys before, me and Jamal (Adams), we’ve always talked about teaming up together and we haven’t got the opportunity to do a full season yet and we’re just hoping we can do it this year,” Diggs explained. “I think that was another aspect for me to come back.
