Seahawks expect Chris Carson, Jamal Adams ready by training camp

The Seattle Seahawks expect running back Chris Carson and safety Jamal Adams to be healthy and ready to go by 2022 training camp this summer.

Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll provided some promising news on Monday about a couple of starters who finished the 2021 regular season on the injured reserve. Carroll expects both running back Chris Carson and safety Jamal Adams to be healthy enough to return this summer in time for the start of training camp.

“I talked to Jamal last night, just missing him that he wasn’t part of the finish to this season,” Carroll told reporters. “He is going to be such a significant part as we come back. I haven’t talked to Chris in a little bit, I messaged with him, but haven’t talked to him in a bit. Those guys are both as gun-ho as you can possibly imagine.”

Both Carson (neck) and Adams (shoulder) have undergone surgeries and are on the mend.

“To listen to Jamal and how much it hurt him to not be there with his teammates, these guys are ballers and want to be a part of everything,” Carroll continued. “But anyway, they are really raring to go and expect to be back at full steam when it’s time to go again at camp.”
