Scott drops 34 as Arkansas gets best of Red Wolves in Jonesboro

Arkansas got a game-high 34 points from freshman Taliah Scott and cruised past Arkansas State on Friday evening in Jonesboro to stay undefeated.

One Arkansas team that played Friday night managed to emerge victorious, and it was on the road.

The Razorback women stayed unbeaten with an 82-67 victory over Arkansas State.

They held the Red Wolves scoreless over the final 5:22 of the fourth quarter to pull out the victory.

Taliah Scott continues to impress as a freshman, as she scored a career-high 34 points to lead all scorers.

Arkansas struggled from behind the 3-point line, connecting on only 10 of 36 treys, but made all 12 of its free throws and outrebounded the hosts 40-32.

Defensively, the Razorbacks limited A-State to just 22 percent shooting from behind the arc and 36 percent shooting total from the field.

Mike Neighbors’ crew will be back in action to finish the final leg of a three-game in-state homestand against Central Arkansas at 7 p.m. in Bud Walton Arena.
