With the addition of Victor Wembanyama this past offseason, the San Antonio Spurs have a clear path forward – build a team that puts him in the best position to succeed. Obviously, things haven’t gone too well in his rookie season, as the Spurs have been the worst team in the Western Conference for most of the year.
However, one of the biggest problems with the team is a very fixable issue that the Spurs can address this summer – floor spacing. The Spurs don’t have a ton of great shooters, and some of the guys who take the floor every night are downright rough from behind the arc.

San Antonio will have multiple opportunities to add shooting this summer, whether it be through the draft, in free agency, or on the trade market.
Getting shooters to help space the floor for Wembanyama should give the Spurs a much-needed boost.
