Reserve Boston Celtics swingman Sam Hauser was hyped up by his teammates as being a potentially major part of the Celtics’ offense in the 2022-23 campaign, which of course elicited skepticism from fans and analysts given how seldom he saw the floor in 2021-22.
But so far in the Celtics’ preseason contests the former Virginia player has been absolutely crushing it from beyond the arc, opening the floor and breaking the backs of opposing defenses. In Wednesday’s 125-119 preseason loss to the Charlotte Hornets, Hauser put up 22 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists in 26 minutes of floor time, shooting an absurd 8-of-12 from the floor overall, including 5-of-8 from 3-point range.
Take a look at the highlight reel put together by YouTuber Tomasz Kordylewski to see how electric Hauser’s 3-point stroke has become.
