Saints on wrong end of one of B/R’s ‘most incredible’ sports moments

The New Orleans Saints were on the wrong end of one of the ‘most incredible’ sports moments of the last 25 years from Bleacher Report:

The New Orleans Saints have been on the wrong end of plenty of heartbreaking playoff losses, but one of them is considered to be one of the greatest sports moments in the last 25 years.

Bleacher Report recently released a ranking of what they considered to be ‘the most incredible sports moments of the last quarter century’ and the Saints made the list, but the play happened against them.

Put at No. 19 out of 25 was Marshawn Lynch’s “Beast Quake” run in the Wild Card round of the 2010 NFL season. Lynch ran through the New Orleans defense for a 67-yard touchdown that would go on to secure the win, embarrassing multiple Saints defenders on the way.

The Saints had a shot to win it all that year, finishing 11-5, but lost to a 7-9 Seattle Seahawks squad. If it is any consolation, the Atlanta Falcons 28-3 Super Bowl collapse ended up much higher on the last at the third-overall spot. David Tyree’s helmet catch from Super Bowl XLII was considered to be the best.
