New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton told the team he is stepping away on Tuesday, as first reported by NewOrleans.Football’s Nick Underhill and confirmed by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
This ends a 15-year run in New Orleans in which Payton went 152-89, building the best era in team history and winning their first Super Bowl title. As to what comes next for him and the Saints: stay tuned.
