The Oregon Ducks are losing a member of their secondary this offseason, with safety Daymon David announcing that he plans to enter the transfer portal and leave the program.
David spent three years at Oregon, playing in 17 total games and totaling 13 tackles and one pass break-up. Going forward, David will have two years of eligibility remaining.
David is one of the few Mario Cristobal-era Ducks to stick around under Lanning. He was originally a member of the 2021 recruiting class, rated by 247Sports as a 4-star player, ranked as the No. 203 in the nation, and the No. 13 safety.
After the 2022 season, David originally entered the transfer portal and tested the waters on the open market. Later that summer, he returned to Oregon.
