S James Wiggins designated to return from IR

He played games on special teams before missing the last eight with a knee injury.

The Arizona Cardinals will be getting some special teams help sometime soon. Rookie safety James Wiggin was designated to return from injured reserve on Wednesday, the team announced.

By doing so, he can begin practicing with the team again and can be activated to the 53-man roster within the next 21 days.

Wiggins suffered a knee injury in punt coverage against the Green Bay Packers. He was inactive for three games and then placed on injured reserve. He has missed the last five games.

The rookie safety out of Cincinnati has only played on special teams this season in three games.
