Ryan Preece returning to Stewart-Haas-Racing for 2024 NASCAR season

Ryan Preece will return to the No. 41 Cup car for Stewart-Haas Racing in 2024 as rumors surround the organization.

[autotag]Ryan Preece[/autotag] announced on Tuesday afternoon that he would return to the No. 41 Cup car for [autotag]Stewart-Haas Racing[/autotag] in 2024. Preece, 32, is currently competing in his first full-time season with the organization after spending 2022 as the team’s reserve driver. The 32-year-old driver has one top-5 finish and one top-10 finish this year.

Preece’s most notable moment during the 2023 NASCAR season was his crash at Daytona International Speedway which shocked the racing world. The driver of the No. 41 car flipped several times and was able to race the next weekend. Outside of Daytona, Preece also led 135 laps at Martinsville Speedway earlier in the year.

Overall, this is the correct decision for Stewart-Haas Racing as Josh Berry is already replacing Kevin Harvick in the No. 4 car and Aric Almirola is expected to retire from NASCAR. It makes sense to keep some continuity in the driver lineup and Preece should represent a veteran presence to Berry and any other drivers on the team.
