Van Weber is having a strong start to the season, the Rutherford High School quarterback starting to see some sustained interest from Rutgers

Weber visited Rutgers for their home opener, a 66-7 win over Wagner. The class of 2023 quarterback is off to a strong start for the 3-0 Bulldogs.

“I really enjoyed my visit. This was my fourth time on campus, and every time was super welcoming,” Weber told RutgersWire.

“I had previously been to Rutgers for a spring practice, the spring game, and camp. On Saturday, the team looked great and the fans were electric. Before the game, I was greeted by coach Campanile (tight ends coach Nunzio Campanile) and coach Gleeson (offensive coordinator Sean Gleeson) where we conversed briefly before I wished them luck and they had to go. All of the recruits were escorted to a section of the stands where my teammate Ryan Ward and I had front-row seats.”
