Three-star defensive tackle Jowhar Franklin pulled in an offer from Rutgers football this week. Franklin is a big-time defensive tackle from Louisiana and is a class of 2024 recruit.
At 6-foot-5 and 300 pounds, Franklin has some impressive size that projects well as a 3-technique. He holds Power Five offers from Arizona State, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Miami, Ohio State, Ole Miss and USC among others.
Franklin plays for John Curtis High School in New Orleans, LA. Last season in eight games as a junior, he had 21 total tackles. He moves well for a player of his size, collapses the pocket well and is aggressive in getting after the ball carrier.
He tagged Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano and defensive coordinator Joe Harasymiak in his social media post, announcing the offer.
