This past season, Rutgers took a significant step forward in head coach Greg Schiano’s fourth season back with the Scarlet Knights. Rutgers had a 7-6 (3-5 Big Ten) record while playing the second-toughest schedule in college football.

In the Pinstripe Bowl, they beat Miami 31-24.
