It was an impressive rookie season with the Kansas City Chiefs for Isiah Pacheco. And now the former Rutgers football running back will have his own day in his New Jersey hometown.
A seventh round pick in last spring’s NFL draft, Pacheco finished the season with 1,027 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns. It was an impressive output from Pacheco, especially considering that he didn’t wrestle away the starting quarterback position until midway through the 2022 season.
Pacheco finished his rookie season with the Chiefs on a high note, putting together a strong Super Bowl with 15 carries for 76 yards and a touchdown. During the regular season, he averaged an impressive 4.9 yards per carry.
His hometown of Vineland, N.J. announced that he will take a victory lap of sorts with a parade in his honor this spring.
The ‘Parade for Pop’ will be held on April 23 beginning at 11 a.m.

Pacheco became a fan favorite in Kansas City for his hard running style not to mention his consistency. He remains a fan favorite in New Jersey too among Rutgers football fans.

Last week, Pacheco got a standing ovation at Jersey Mike’s Arena where he made a courtside appearance. He also put on some dance moves after delivering a television to the students section.
