Even with the reclassification of Cooper Flagg to the 2024 recruiting class, five-star guard Dylan Harper continues to make a strong statement as the nation’s top player. Harper, a Rutgers basketball commit, was dominant in his fall ball debut this week.
Harper, who was the nation’s top recruit for much of the summer, lost the top spot when Flagg re-classified.
Ahead of his final year of high school basketball at Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, New Jersey), Harper impressed in his fall ball debut where he showed plenty of confidence in getting to the rim.

Harper has had a busy summer, including playing for the United States in the FIBA U19 World Cup and putting together strong performances in the Nike EYBL.

He is now the consensus second-highest-ranked recruit in the nation. Rutgers currently has the No. 2 recruiting class in the nation, which features five-star forward Airious ‘Ace’ Bailey.
Bailey is considered the third-best player in the nation and had a strong showing last month at Rucker Park.
