Nigel James is making the case that he is an elite guard and why he is a priority recruit for Rutgers basketball.
In early August, James announced that he will be playing this upcoming season at Long Island Lutheran (Glen Head, N.Y.). Last year, James was enrolled at Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, MA.
In late June, James was offered by Rutgers. He has also been offered by Marquette, UMass, St. Joseph’s (Philadelphia), Providence, St. John’s, George Mason and Iowa.
The 6-foot guard is a four-star recruit according to ESPN.
Playing at Dyckman Park in Manhattan, James showcased a complete and explosive skillset. He showcased his confidence on the dribble and his ability to drive, penetrate and create his own shot in traffic.
