Russell Wilson already has two star wide receivers on his team. It never hurts to add more, though and he wants Odell Beckham Jr. bad. Over the weekend, USA Today reported that Wilson was urging the Seahawks to sign the three-time Pro Bowler who was waived by the Browns earlier this week.
After clearing waivers Beckham became a free agent on Tuesday, drawing the interest of several teams around the league and pushing Aaron Rodgers’ COVID-19 controversy off the front page for the NFL. The Seahawks have been at the forefront of the rumors and reporting since this saga began. The latest comes via Jordan Schultz, who reports that Wilson is personally involved in the effort to recruit Beckham to Seattle.
Sources say #Seahawks QB Russell Wilson and #Saints HC Sean Payton both reached out to Odell Beckham, Jr. to make their respective recruiting pitches.

Beckham has been connected via various reports to the Packers, Saints, Patriots, Chiefs and Seahawks. As of this afternoon all of them are still involved.
Before waiving him Cleveland voided the final two years of his contract, so Beckham will be a free agent in 2022, making him a half-year rental.
Asked again today about potentially adding Beckham, coach Pete Carroll did not offer any update.
Pete Carroll, when asked what the Seahawks' conversations have been like with Odell Beckham Jr: "I have no updates for you, really nothing to tell you." My understanding: they've been talking with OBJ. @JFowlerESPN reported that as well.
