Ron Rivera says ‘nobody wants to play us’ after 4th-straight victory for Washington

Ron Rivera says that Washington is a team that nobody wants to face now that they’re coming off of four-straight wins and playing inspired football.

The players in Washington are likely on cloud nine right now after winning their fourth consecutive game and taking over the top spot in the NFC East on Sunday with a 23-15 win over the San Francisco 49ers, and head coach Ron Rivera had two messages for the team after the game:

  1. You earned the right to be excited
  2. Nobody wants to play Washington right now

That may have some truth to it, with Washington’s defense looking like the best unit in the NFL right now coming off of one of the best performances of the year. Washington finished with four sacks, two forced fumbles, one interception, and two touchdowns on Sunday against the 49ers. They’ve routinely be able to give opposing offenses fits over the past several weeks, and it’s looking increasingly like they will be a tough out in the first round of the playoffs, should they make it there.
