Detroit Lions defensive end Romeo Okwara suffered an Achilles injury in Sunday’s game at Chicago. Okwara went down with a non-contact injury and had his foot being looked at on the sideline before exiting to the locker room.
After the game which the Bears won 24-14, Lions head coach Dan Campbell stated that it was an Achilles injury for Okwara and that “it doesn’t look good”.
Okwara, who recorded 10 sacks for the Lions last season had recorded one sack and six tackles in Detroit’s first three games of 2021. Okwara played at Notre Dame from 2012-15, recording nine sacks in 2015.
