Roman Wilson greatly improving NFL draft stock in Reese’s Senior Bowl practice

He’s been the talk of Mobile all week. #GoBlue

Roman Wilson wasn’t exactly the most prolific receiver to ever come through Ann Arbor, but he certainly could be counted among the most clutch.

Wilson often made timely catches and always seemed to be open at the right time. Look no further to last month’s Rose Bowl Game where Wilson was a huge driver of Michigan football’s final drive in regulation which tied the game forcing overtime. Wilson had a huge snag and subsequent gain and then scored the game-tying touchdown. You know what happened after that.

Now working towards his future in the NFL, it appears Wilson may have made the right choice in leaving early. Participating in the Reese’s Senior Bowl, Wilson has wowed NFL draft scouts in the practice sessions, and according to NFL.com analyst Lance Zierlein, he’s likely earned himself a second-round grade.

What’s more, Wilson has been particularly spectacular, not merely making big catches, but wowing with his overall capability. On Wednesday, this one-handed grab made waves across college football media.

The last time that the Wolverines had a day-two pick in the NFL draft, it was Nico Collins, who went in the third round of the 2021 draft at No. 89 overall. We’ll see if Wilson matches or exceeds that mark. If he shows out in the upcoming NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis, there’s a good shot he might.
