With 37 days to go until the NFL Draft begins, look for more and more mock drafts to pop up. The Ringer put out a new one Tuesday morning, and they have picked up on a popular rumor: Green Bay trying to replace Davante Adams via the draft. And they think Treylon Burks fits the bill.
After dealing superstar receiver Davante Adams to the Raiders, the Packers hope to pull off a Vikings-esque move here and turn the first-round pick they got from trading away an All-Pro talent into his immediate replacement. Burks is a threat at all three levels and gives Aaron Rodgers a new go-to guy.
Burks versatility makes him an intriguing prospect for whichever team ultimately gains his services. The comps to Deebo Samuels have gained steam, and that’s clearly a profile offensive coordinators crave. He can play all three receive spots, lined up in the backfield on occasion for the Hogs, and shown he can handle a Wildcat package, too.
The NFL Draft kicks off on April 28.
