Older fans of the Boston Celtics recall the rivalry between the Celtics and the Detroit Pistons during Boston’s years of contention in the 1980s, and how intense those battles could be. And no small part of that intensity came from Bad Boy Piston Rick Mahorn, who was one of the team’s enforcers in the frontcourt in many a battle with the Celtics.
The Hartford, Connecticut native recently made an appearance on the CLNS Media ‘Cedric Maxwell’ show. Mahorn spent some time with the eponymous host recounting their intense battles in the Eastern Conference play of the 1980s, including how Mahorn was part of one of the most iconic plays in Celtics history.
The Pistons legend even shed some light on how he might conduct himself if he were part of today’s NBA.
