Richmond Webb left out of Hall of Fame’s list of 2025 finalists

Three offensive linemen are finalists for the Class of 2025, but not Richmond Webb.

Earlier this year, former Miami Dolphins offensive tackle Richmond Webb became a semifinalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame for the first time. On Saturday, the Hall of Fame released its list of 15 finalists and Webb didn’t make the cut.

Among the finalists for the Class of 2025 are three offensive linemen: former Bengals offensive tackle Willie Anderson, former Saints guard Jahri Evans, and former Ravens guard Marshal Yanda.

Webb, 57, was the No. 9 selection in the 1990 NFL draft and spent 11 seasons with the Dolphins mostly protecting Dan Marino’s blindside. The stalwart left tackle earned Pro Bowl honors seven times, was a two-time First Team All-Pro, and a two-time Second Team All-Pro during his time in Miami. Webb then finished his career with two seasons with the Bengals.

A total of 13 former players who once wore a Dolphins uniform have earned a spot in the Hall of Fame, although that includes a handful of players like Cris Carter and Thurman Thomas who are much more well known for previous stops in their NFL career.

The most recent former Miami player to earn a spot was linebacker Zach Thomas, who was enshrined as a member of the Class of 2023.
