Report: Yam Madar granted permission by Hapoel Tel Aviv to participate in Las Vegas Summer League

The Israeli floor general has reportedly secured official permission to play in Las Vegas Summer League.

Stashed Boston Celtics draft prospect Yam Madar has received official permission from his current team in the Israeli Premier Basketball League to participate in the 2021 Las Vegas Summer League with the Boston Celtics according to Sports Rabbi’s Moshe Halickman.

Madar’s club Hapoel Tel Aviv recently won an arbitration case over whether they still had a contract with the rising Premier League star, with Madar being deemed under Hapoel Tel Aviv’s control next season barring a buyout from the Celtic or any other teams interested in securing his services. The Beit Dagan native may well prove worth the investment however after a stellar performance in 2020-21 that saw him become the youngest player in Premier League history to win their Most Improved Player Award.

The Israeli point guard contacted the team’s management to formally ask for permission according to a statement from Hapoel Tel Aviv relayed by Halickman, who have granted him their blessing to participate.
