Report: WWE locks up another top women’s star

Bayley reportedly joins Charlotte Flair as foundational WWE women’s division performers who will be in the fold for the foreseeable future.

Just days after WWE reportedly ensured its Queen will be sticking around for a while, it appears its Role Model won’t be going anywhere either.

According to PW Insider, WWE has come to terms on a new contract with Bayley, one that is “believed to be a multi-year deal.”

The first ever Women’s Triple Crown Champion and Grand Slam Champion in WWE history, Bayley has been with the company for more than a decade, first spending time in NXT after several years on the independent circuit to begin her wrestling career.

Along with memorable feuds with the likes of Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch, Bayley captured the imagination of fans as both a partner to and enemy of Sasha Banks. More recently, she created the Damage CTRL stable with IYO SKY and Dakota Kai, and while that group has expanded to include Asuka and Kairi Sane and shown signs it might be outgrowing Bayley’s leadership, they remain together as a unit for now.

Bayley also recently announced she will compete in the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match next month, and winning a Rumble is one of the few big WWE honors she’s yet to achieve. With this contract news, there’s a chance she’ll have multiple opportunities to pull it off.
