Report: Warriors pick up options for James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody

The Warriors are reportedly picking up contract options for James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody.

While in the middle of their first five-game road trip of the 2022-23 campaign, the Golden State Warriors are handling business with a trio of their young prospects.

According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, the Warriors are picking up fourth-year contract options for big man James Wiseman along with third-year contract options for sophomores Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody.

All three players will now be under contract with the Warriors through the 2023-24 season. Wiseman’s extension will be worth $12.1 million. 

Through seven games of the 2022-23 season, the former No. 2 overall pick is averaging 8.7 points on 62.5% shooting from the field with 4.4 rebounds in 14.6 minutes per game.

In his second season in the NBA, Kuminga is averaging 2.7 points on 33.3% shooting from the floor with 1.8 rebounds in 10.8 minutes per game. The 20-year-old’s contract extension will be worth $6 million.

Moody has impressed off the bench in his second season, averaging 6.4 points on 39.5% shooting from the field and 39.5% shooting from beyond the arc with 2.4 rebounds in 17 minutes per game. Moody’s contract will be $3.9 million.
