Nate Stanley did in fact make the trip to Kansas City and is warming up for tonight’s game right now, source says. He’d been injured after returning from the COVID-19 list, but he’s at least getting some on-field pregame work.

Vikings QB Nate Stanley was reported to have been out for the Kansas City game. This would have been a big blow to his chances of making the roster. Instead, Stanley ended up going, according to multiple reports.
“Stanley is on the field in Arrowhead right now warming up with the other three QBs,” Andrew Krammer of the Star Tribune reported.
There’s no telling whether Stanley will see reps or not in the Chiefs game as of now. If he does end up playing, Stanley has a chance to make the roster and compete for a backup quarterback role.
However, the Iowa product is a long shot to do so, with Kellen Mond and Jake Browning being the two most likely to take the backup quarterback position.
We apologize for the original report stating that Stanley did not make the trip.
