Report: Titans ‘would consider’ Tom Brady in free agency

The Titans are reportedly expected to consider Bucs QB Tom Brady if he tests free agency.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady still has a playoff game to play but reports and speculation about his future have already begun, and the Tennessee Titans are included in one report about the future Hall of Famer.

According to NFL Network’s In Rapoport, the Titans are among the teams who are expected to be interested in Brady in free agency in 2023, assuming he doesn’t re-sign with the Buccaneers, who “very much want” him back.

But as you’d imagine, the Titans will have stiff competition for the 45-year-old. The Las Vegas Raiders and San Francisco 49ers are also expected to be in the mix if Brady tests free agency, per Rapoport.

We should note that the Titans don’t even have a general manager yet, but it’s hard to envision there being many GMs out there who wouldn’t sign up for Brady.

Brady to Titans speculation has been going on for a few years now, mostly because of his connection to head coach Mike Vrabel, his former teammate and good friend.

But that speculation hasn’t turned into reality.

Perhaps that changes this offseason, but the Titans have a lot of issues to fix before Brady would even consider joining them, chief among them the offensive line and wide receiver corps.

The Titans would also have to cut or trade quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who remains under contract for the 2023 campaign.
