Report: Titans won’t pursue Bill Belichick, Jim Harbaugh

The Titans are reportedly not expected to pursue Bill Belichick or Jim Harbaugh.

As the Tennessee Titans search for a new head coach after firing Mike Vrabel on Tuesday, there are two prominent names the team is not expected to pursue.

According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, the Titans do not have either Bill Belichick or Jim Harbaugh on their list of potential candidates. She also adds that Tennessee is open to both offensive-minded and defensive-minded coaches.

Harbaugh is currently the head coach at Michigan but is expected to make a move to the NFL after winning a national title this year.

A future Hall of Famer, Belichick is no longer the head coach of the New England Patriots after the two officially parted ways on Thursday.

It’s not much of a surprise that the Titans won’t pursue the two big-named head coaches.

Both will likely want control over personnel decisions, something that was a point of contention between Vrabel and owner Amy Adams Strunk, who is stressing collaboration for personnel decisions moving forward.
