The Tennessee Titans are reportedly parting ways with 2021 sixth-round pick and wide receiver, Racey McMath.
The news comes from NFL insider Jordan Schultz. McMath will now be subject to waivers on Wednesday at noon ET. If he clears, the Titans will have an opportunity to bring him back on the practice squad or even the active roster if a spot opens up and they want him in that capacity.
For now, McMath is the third member of the Titans’ 2021 draft class to be let go in the past few years, along with wide receiver Dez Fitzpatrick and safety Brady Breeze.
McMath started off the preseason strong with a team-high 53 yards against the Chicago Bears, but he failed to build on that the rest of the way after having a quiet training camp.
We did not have McMath on our final 53-man roster, instead giving the WR6 spot to rookie Kearis Jackson. We’ll see if that comes to fruition in mere hours.
