Lost in the sauce of all the madness of the Tennessee Titans’ Tuesday afternoon was the reported signing of cornerback John Reid off the Atlanta Falcons’ practice squad.
The news comes from NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, and the move was one of the first the Titans made in the wake of firing now-former general manager Jon Robinson.
A former fourth-round pick of the Houston Texans in 2020, Reid has played in 24 games (three starts) over two seasons, one with the Texans and one with the Seattle Seahawks. He has not played any snaps during the 2022 campaign, though.
The team has not made the move official, but the Titans did announce that they waived fullback Tory Carter and outside linebacker Sam Okuayinonu, opening up two roster spots.
Along with those moves, the Titans signed kicker Caleb Shudak to the practice squad after waiving him recently, and cut outside linebacker Wyatt Ray and offensive lineman Eric Smith.
The Titans will return to action after an eventful week when they host the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at Nissan Stadium.
