After the Tennessee Titans waived him on Monday, wide receiver Mason Kinsey reportedly won’t be going anywhere.
According to Justin Melo of The Draft Network, the Titans are re-signing the Berry College product to the practice squad in what is just his latest stint there.
Tennessee promoted Kinsey after Week 2 in the wake of fellow wideout and returner Kearis Jackson landing on injured reserve. The 25-year-old didn’t catch any passes in two games but averaged 12.5 yards per punt return, including a long of 21 in Week 4 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Kinsey was waived earlier this week in tandem with offensive lineman Xavier Newman as the Titans are set to welcome back both wide receiver Kyle Philips and right tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere.
Philips figures to take over the returner role Kinsey was holding down but it remains to be seen if NPF will go back to his old role as the starting right tackle.
