Report: Titans’ Arthur Smith drawing interest for all 6 HC openings

Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Arthur Smith has drawn interest for all six openings at head coach in the NFL.

Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Arthur Smith has drawn interest for all six openings for head coach in the NFL.

This list of teams that have requested an interview or plan to ask for permission for an interview with Smith includes the New York Jets, Los Angeles Chargers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Detroit Lions, Atlanta Falcons and the Houston Texans, as indicated by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

This is one of the more consistent Titans teams we’ve seen in recent history, and Smith is partially to thank for that.

He’s been an integral part of the Titans’ offensive success this year, as the team capped off the 2020 regular season with a win over the division rival Texans, coming into the contest with the No. 3 offense in the league.

If Smith is to take one of these jobs ahead of the 2021 season, it wouldn’t be far from the first time the Titans have had their offensive coordinator snagged by another team.

The Green Bay Packers poached Matt LaFleur from the team in 2019, hiring him at head coach.
