Texas running back Jaydon Blue is expected to enter the NCAA transfer portal, according to Inside Texas.
Blue is a former four-star prospect from the class of 2022 who held offers from the likes of Alabama, Ohio State and Texas A&M. He played sparingly over the year, totaling just 15 carries for 33 yards in limited opportunities.
Texas’ running back room is still in solid shape. Jonathon Brooks and Keilan Robinson are expected to return with the addition of incoming freshmen Cedric Baxter Jr and Tre Wisner.
Brooks and Robinson took all the carries in the Alamo Bowl game against Washington last week. A telling sign where Blue was sitting in the pecking order.
Baxter is rated the No. 1 running back in the 2023 class and is planning to enroll at Texas in January. A talent like Baxter is going to push for playing time early.
