7-foot-5 center Tacko Fall will reportedly sign a two-way contract in the coming days to remain with the Boston Celtics, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Fall became a restricted free agent once the Celtics issued a qualifying offer to him last week. He played last season on a two-way contract with the Celtics and spent most of the season with the Maine Red Claws in the NBA G League.

The former UCF product was named to the 2019-20 NBA G League All-Defensive Team after averaging 12.9 points, 11.1 rebounds and 2.9 blocks in 29 games played with the Red Claws. He finished third in blocked shots and sixth in rebounding among all players.

Fall logged seven appearances with the Celtics during the regular season, averaging 3.3 points and 2.1 rebounds. He played in the Celtics’ regular-season finale on Aug. 13 and recorded four points and four rebounds in eight minutes of work.

The Celtics have prioritized the development of Fall and the big man will now have an opportunity to continue that work next season on a two-way contract. He is eligible to spend up to 45 days with the Celtics as part of his deal.
