Report: Sixers trading Josh Richardson to Mavericks for Seth Curry

The Philadelphia 76ers are sending Josh Richardson to the Dallas Mavericks for Seth Curry.

The Philadelphia 76ers brought in Daryl Morey to be their President of Basketball Operations for a reason. He is a guy who has had a lot of success in his career and he is known for making bold trades to fix rosters.

On Wednesday, he made a big move by sending Al Horford to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for a shooter in Danny Green who fits the roster much better than Horford does. The team also got off Horford’s big contract so that is a big plus.

Morey is not done, however, as he will now flip Josh Richardson and the 36th pick in Wednesday’s draft to the Dallas Mavericks for Seth Curry. The younger brother of Stephen shot 45.2% from deep for the Mavericks this past season and he fits the roster much better.

On top of that, he is married to coach Doc Rivers’ daughter, Callie.

Morey is loading up on shooters to surround Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid with what they need in order to succeed on offense.
