The Milwaukee Bucks rocked the NBA world on Wednesday afternoon when they swooped in and acquired superstar Damian Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers. It was a three-team deal that sent Jrue Holiday to the Blazers.
When considering Portland is focused on rebuilding around young guards Scoot Henderson and Anfernee Simons, it doesn’t make much sense to have Holiday on their roster.
Therefore, he would be better served on a contender. The Philadelphia 76ers are expected to have interest in the All-Star guard. Holiday averaged 19.3 points, 7.4 assists, and 5.1 rebounds while shooting 38.4% from deep in the 2022-23 season.
A source confirms the Sixers are interested in acquiring Jrue Holiday. However, the source noted it’s still a little early for something given the PG was just traded to Portland. Holiday began his career with the Sixers. @KyleNeubeck was first to report the news.

Holiday began his career with the Sixers and averaged 13.4 points, 5.8 assists and 3.6 rebounds with them while being named an All-Star in 2013. He is one of the best defensive guards in the league and he is a proven champion. He would fix a lot of issues for the Sixers.
