Alabama has managed to hang on to both of its coordinators for the first time in several years, but unfortunately, that doesn’t mean there won’t be any changes to the Crimson Tide’s staff.
According to Cecil Hurt with The Tuscaloosa News and TideSports.com, Alabama strength and conditioning coach Scott Cochran is expected to leave to take an on-field coaching role with Georgia.
Hurt broke the new via Twitter:
Scott Cochran, the longtime strength and conditioning coach for @AlabamaFTBL is expected — barring a last-minute change — to leave UA for an on-field coaching position at Georgia per sources. More to come at @tidesports

The news isn’t all that surprising, as there were several rumors floating around since the offseason began that featured a potential Cochran departure. But it’s still a major blow to the staff, as Cochran had been with the Tide family since Nick Saban arrived in Tuscaloosa in 2007.
