On Thursday, there was a report that the Los Angeles Chargers were among the teams that met with the representation of quarterback Tom Brady, who set to be a free agent, but it wasn’t to express interest in the 42-year old.
The team’s conversations with the agent, Carter Chow, were only in regards to cornerback Michael Davis, who shares the same agency as Brady, per source, according to ESPN’s Eric D. Williams.
A source confirms Chargers met with agent Carter Chow at combine about RFA CB Michael Davis, and only Davis. Chow does not represent Tom Brady. No one from Chargers spoke with Donald Yee, Brady’s agent because he does not represent any players for the Bolts.

Teams use the combine to gather information and gauge the market for potential free agents. But L.A. did not discuss Brady’s availability with his agency, Yee & Dubin Sports.
The conversations solely surrounded Davis, who is set to be a restricted free agent. Due to his status, the Chargers can place a tender on him rather than agreeing to a long-term deal.
Even though the talks weren’t about Brady, that doesn’t mean Los Angeles won’t show interest in the veteran when the free agency period begins on March 18.
After L.A. parted ways with Philip Rivers last month, buzz has continued to loom as them being potential suitors for the six-time Super Bowl champion.
